series CT
Low pressure clean break quick coupling system with automatic locking for the transmission of fluid or gaseous media in an industrial / commercial environment, especially for the chemical industry.
Operation:
- Convenient, simple one-handed operation with automatic locking.
- Easy installation without the need for additional adaptors, thanks to a wide range of connections available from stock
Types:
CT-003, CT-005, CT-007, CT-009, CT-012, CT-019
Nominal bores:
Available in nominal diameters of 3 mm, 5 mm, 7 mm, 9 mm,12 mm and 19 mm
Working pressure:
Permissible operating pressure up to 64 bar (depending on the diameter, even when uncoupled)
Media:
- Water (also deionized), various solvents, acids, alkalis, oils
- odour additives
- technical gases including hydrogen
- Vacuum (connected)
- For hazardous substances (Substance Group 1) on request.
Materials:
- Stainless steel 1.4307 or equivalent at least
- For handling hydrogen, special variants are available.
Special features / options:
A latest-generation clean-break quick-connect coupling designed as a dry break coupling to withstand high mechanical loads. For many media and applications e.g. in the process and laboratory technology, transport and loading of fluids. Easy, non-squirting, almost air inclusion free connecting and disconnecting through automatic lock with low couple force. Connection under residual pressure is possible. High flow rate due to flow-enhancing valve geometries. Also available in an ATEX compliant version.
A mechanical locking option is also available (SI variant, with colour coding to indicate the locking status); additionally, the couplings can be colour-coded to prevent confusion.
Optional Certifications:
- Clean Air / TA-Luft
- ATEX
- Decleration 3.1
- FDA Conformity
- Complies with EU Regulation 1935/2004 for foodstuffs
- 100% silicone-free (free from substances that interfere with the coating process)
- Oil- and grease-free
- emergency release coupling / breakaway coupling
