Monocouplings in transport technology

Quick-release couplings that connect only one media-carrying line are specially designed in transport technology for use in cooling and braking systems. Cooling couplings secure system availability through maximum functional reliability. Hydraulic couplings are put to use in braking systems of rail vehicles. The couplings can be used as standard for temperatures between -35 and +80 degrees Celsius.

Multicouplings in transport technology

Manually operated multicouplings used for stationary cooling of refrigerated vehicles are ideally suited for the simultaneous connection of several media lines. They ensure quick and easy operation of the interface between the vehicle and the refrigeration system. Automatic multicouplings for remote operation are used, for example, on high-speed ferries. These coupling systems enable the simultaneous refuelling of consumables and the emptying of waste water tanks. There is also the option of additionally transmitting electronic control signals and electrical power circuits in order to better protect the environment during port laytime.

Clean-break couplings in transport technology

Quick couplings with drip-free clean-break technology meet the very highest demands in terms of process and operational safety in the field of transport technology. In cooling systems, they are used to connect power modules to cooling circuits. Self-closing valves on both sides guarantee minimal residual leakage during the decoupling process. The clean-break couplings in small compact design are designed for an operating pressure of up to 30 bar and for extreme operating temperatures.

Braking systems in transport technology

Quick-release couplings suitable for operating pressures up to 250 bar are used for the special requirements when it comes to braking systems for rail vehicles. The hydraulic couplings are equipped with a vibration-proof locking mechanism, are small and compact in design and are known for their minimal residual leakage when uncoupled. Depending on the seal version, they are designed for operating temperatures between -35 and +80 degrees Celsius.

Quick-connect couplings in transport technology

A quick-release coupling system consisting of a refuel coupling and an emergency disconnect coupling is used for refuelling with hydrogen. The refuelling system meets the highest safety requirements by means of an axial safety locking device in push-pull technology. The coupling system is designed for ultra-cold filling down to -40 degrees and for filling common vehicle systems with 350 or 700 bar.

Couplings for hydrogen in transport technology

For refueling with hydrogen, a quick-release coupling system is used, consisting of a refueling coupling and an emergency breakwawy coupling. Thanks to a pressure-active release lock in push-pull technology, the refueling system meets the highest safety requirements. The coupling system is designed for ultra-cold filling down to -40 degrees and for filling common vehicle systems with 350 or 700 bar.

Multicoupling for supply and disposal of media in shipping

Automatic multicouplings for remote operation enable the simultaneous transfer of many different media on high-speed ferries. This makes it possible to refuel consumables, such as turbine fuel or fresh water, and empty wastewater tanks at the same time. Transfer and lay times can be reduced through the use of the multicouplings.
