Low pressure clean break quick coupling system with bayonet locking for the transmission of fluid media in an industrial / commercial environment, especially for the chemical industry, also for selected Group 1 fluid media. These couplings are also suitable for gases such as hydrogen.

The CN series is primarily used for handling large volumes at loading stations for lorries or trains carrying chemical liquids or liquid foodstuffs, as well as their raw materials and additives, or as a refuelling coupling.

This series has obtained type approval in accordance with ADR/RID for transportable pressure equipment for the carriage of dangerous goods by road and rail (see below).

Nominal bores:

25, 40, 50, 80 and 100 mm

Working pressure:

up to 25 bar / 360 psi (connected and/or disconnected)

Media:

• water, compressed air, various fluids
• liquid foods / food ingredients and additives
• fuel, greases / oils,
• technical gases including hydrogen

Materials:

stainless steel 1.4404/1.4571 or similar

Special features / Options:

Used, for example, in the chemical industry for loading various liquids A  big advantage is the ability to connect and disconnect long hose lines which are under pressure (up to 5 bar) without squirting medium. In case of limited space the couplings can also be offered without the handwheel and the locking sleeve can be operated with a hook spanner.

In addition, the quick-connect system is sterilizable (SIP-capable).
