Innovative quick coupling systems for the H₂- and CO₂ industry: WALTHER-PRÄZISION at Hydrogen & Carbon Capture 2025

Hydrogen is becoming increasingly important in numerous branches of industry, from the steel and chemical industries to heavy industry and applications in mobility and energy supply. The Hydrogen & Carbon Capture trade fair, which takes place from 21 to 23 October at Messe Hamburg, brings together leading companies and industry experts. WALTHER-PRÄZISION will be presenting a wide range of quick coupling systems for the safe and efficient use of hydrogen in industrial processes.

Efficient coupling systems from WALTHER-PRÄZISION 

Just like refueling vehicles, industrial processes require reliable and safe connection technology to handle hydrogen in a wide range of pressure ranges. The special physical properties of the gas, in particular its small molecular size, high diffusivity and potential explosion risks, place particular demands on the connection technology. WALTHER-PRÄZISION offers a comprehensive portfolio of quick couplings for the hydrogen industry that guarantee reliable and tight connections even under extreme operating conditions.

The range of applications includes the filling, testing and emptying of high-pressure tanks, the supply of large-scale consumers and even the automated testing of hydrogen components. The focus is on both high-pressure and low-pressure applications. The portfolio includes quick coupling systems for pressures of up to 3,000 bar, solutions for connecting consumers in the medium pressure range and clean-break couplings for large quantities of hydrogen in the low-pressure segment. The latter enable virtually air-inclusion-free coupling and minimised losses when uncoupling. In addition, WALTHER-PRÄZISION offers multi-couplings for the parallel connection of several lines, such as those used in the H₂ supply of furnaces or in test benches for hydrogen equipment.

In addition to hydrogen supply, quality assurance also takes centre stage. WALTHER-PRÄZISION has developed heavy-duty, partly fully automated coupling systems for the series testing of hydrogen tanks, fuel cell systems and other hydrogen-carrying components. These are manufactured in stainless steel for high-pressure applications and warant safe, precise and efficient work.

In addition to hydrogen applications, WALTHER-PRÄZISION will also be presenting coupling systems for handling gaseous or liquid CO₂ in Hall B7 at Stand 7B25. The safe connection technology ensures that CO₂ is transported safely from the emission sources to the places of use or geological storage.

As one of more than 1,000 exhibitors at the Hydrogen & Carbon Capture trade fair, WALTHER-PRÄZISION is making a relevant contribution to the decarbonisation of industrial processes with its products for the safe handling of hydrogen and CO₂ – and thus also to achieving the climate targets that have been set.
